10 Mar All New Habanero Ketchup
Fries, hamburgers, eggs, sausages, sauces, glazes, chicken nuggets, grilled cheese sandwiches., the list just goes on and on. These are just a few things that people put ketchup on or dip into the rich red sauce (sometimes both, who are we kidding?). With so much versatility to the condiment it is no wonder that it is the most popular one out there. Today we see countries that have ketchup flavored potato chips, and products like Mayochup because who can be bothered to squeeze out both ketchup and mayonnaise when we can have it pre-mixed and ready to go in one bottle?
For all it’s awesome uses, ketchup can be somewhat bland and same-y. We know what we are going to get which on the one hand is a good thing, but on the other, what if we can take our pal ketchup and kick it up a notch? I’m not talking flames coming out of your mouth hot, but just a little kick, something to give it flair and out of the ordinary qualities. Enter Craig’s Habanero Ketchup. Just the right amount of flavor to take ketchup to a whole different place. It is hot, but not too hot thanks to the proprietary blend of habanero peppers and seasonings.
Habanero Ketchup can be used for dipping and drizzling on any food that we would normally use regular ketchup for, but it can also be used in glazes, dips and sauces that are ketchup based. This will allow for the regular ingredients to be used while adding that little kick of spice. You don’t have to be a master chef to incorporate it into your dishes, you just grab it instead of its boring cousin. You can even attempt a spicy take on the aforementioned Mayochup!
Ketchup itself has no fat content and runs about 20 calories per tablespoon. Adding habanero peppers adds heat and flavor as well as vitamins A and C, and also adds some antioxidants to the mix. We all know the benefits of the tomato, a main ingredient in ketchup of course as having vitamins B and E and lycopene as well as being loaded with potassium. Mix the two and you have yourself a nutritious sauce that can be used in so many different ways.
Ketchup will always be our go-to condiment, but now we have a new choice and boy, is it worth a taste!
